HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Strategic Projects Associate to join one of our valued client partners. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this strategic operations and project execution role within a high-growth AI technology environment.

Position Overview

The Strategic Projects Associate will support cross-functional initiatives that contribute to the development of advanced datasets used to improve the capabilities of next-generation artificial intelligence systems. This position combines elements of project management, operations strategy, and business development support in a fast-paced technology environment.

The role requires strong intellectual curiosity, disciplined execution, and the ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple subject-matter experts and technical stakeholders.

Candidates must demonstrate a high level of initiative, analytical thinking, and operational ownership.

Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal teams and AI research partners to support the creation of specialized datasets used to train and enhance advanced AI systems

Coordinate teams of subject-matter experts across disciplines such as finance, software engineering, and legal research

Prepare sales memos, data samples, and supporting documentation used in partnership discussions and business development initiatives

Assist leadership with operational initiatives and strategic projects across the organization

Track project milestones and ensure cross-team alignment on deliverables and timelines

Support analysis and documentation related to emerging AI technologies and data infrastructure development

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for interview

0–1 year of professional experience (recent graduates or candidates within their first year of employment)

Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-performance environments

Evidence of leadership experience through entrepreneurship, academic organizations, or student leadership roles

Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail

Demonstrated initiative, resilience, and ownership mentality

Stable academic and professional background (jumpy resumes will not be accepted)

Ability to work onsite in San Francisco, CA

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are strongly preferred but not mandatory

Degree from a top-tier university or other strong academic signal

STEM degree or technical academic background

Internship experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, quantitative finance, product management, or technology startups

Entrepreneurial experience such as founding a company, startup involvement, or leadership in well-known organizations or university clubs

Familiarity with AI tools or technologies such as Claude or similar platforms

Basic coding experience, computer science coursework, or technical bootcamp exposure

Work Environment Expectations

This role operates within a high-performance startup environment that prioritizes execution speed, accountability, and operational ownership. Candidates should be comfortable working extended hours and supporting demanding project timelines when necessary.

The role may require long workdays and occasional weekend participation, depending on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $80,000 – $110,000

Performance-based bonus opportunities

Equity participation potential

Estimated total compensation potential: $160,000 – $220,000 OTE

Visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates. New H1B sponsorship is not currently available.
