Seal Dynamics (A HEICO Company) founded in 1976, with its corporate headquarters based in Hauppauge, NY is a world leader in technical sales and the distribution of aerospace components.

Our unique marketing and technical sales approach are the most effective way to assist our customers in selecting products that reduce cost of ownership. Our current product portfolio includes structural, mechanical and electro-mechanical products associated with both airframe and engine applications across all ATA Chapters. Through our strategic partnerships with some of the most respected OEMs in the aviation industry, Seal Dynamics stocks and distributes in excess of 100,000 products globally in support of our customer requirements.

In addition to our distribution network, Seal Dynamics is a market leader in the design and development of FAA approved alternative parts. Our OEM licensed PMAs and Test and Computation PMAs offer our customers viable solutions in the reduction of operational costs.

Seal Dynamics is growing its IT development team, and we’re hiring an entry-level developer to grow with us. You’ll write SQL and C# against the systems that keep a global aviation parts business running. ERP, eCommerce, partner integrations, document management, and warehouse logistics and you’ll have a hand in the work we’re building out now: REST integrations between our systems and AI capabilities wired directly into our business data.

This is a role for someone early in their career who wants to learn a real enterprise stack end to end.

On-site in Hauppauge, Long Island. This is not a remote or hybrid position, and it is not a contract role. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Seal Dynamics offers a 9/80 work schedule, upon completion of the introductory period, you can opt to enroll and have every other Friday off.

What you’ll do

  • Write, test, and tune T-SQL queries, views, stored procedures against our ERP and line-of-business databases
  • Build and maintain C#/.NET applications and services
  • Build and consume REST APIs - the integrations that connect our core business systems to each other and to outside partners. This is core to the job, not a side task.
  • Work on our AI integration efforts - connecting LLM APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to business data, so the business can ask real questions of real systems
  • Write Python for data work, automation, and AI-adjacent tooling
  • Support and enhance internal web applications
  • Work in containerized development and deployment environments
  • Work directly with people in purchasing, warehouse, sales, and finance to understand what they actually need before you build it
  • Follow source control, code review, and change management practices and help us improve them

Our stack

You are not expected to know all of this. This is what you’ll be working with and learning here. The short “required” list below is what we will actually screen on everything else is something we’ll teach you.

What we’re looking for

Required - this is the real list

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience (bootcamp, military, self-taught with a portfolio we can look at)
  • Working knowledge of SQL: you can write a multi-table join, understand what an index does, and know why SELECT * in production code is a bad habit
  • Familiarity with at least one object-oriented language - C# preferred, but Java, Python, or VB.NET experience transfers
  • Basic understanding of how REST APIs work: requests, responses, JSON, status codes, authentication
  • Basic familiarity with source control (Git/GitHub)
  • Clear written and verbal communication - much of this job is asking a non-technical person the right question
  • Curiosity and initiative: you research before you escalate, and you flag problems early rather than hoping they go away

Coursework, internships, co-ops, and personal projects all count. If you’ve built something you’re proud of, tell us about it.

Helpful, not required - we’ll teach you these

  • Python beyond the basics, especially for data or automation work
  • Any hands-on work with LLM APIs, MCP, RAG, or embeddings - including personal projects
  • Experience using AI coding assistants on real code, and the judgment to review what they produce
  • Docker or other containerization
  • Power BI, DAX, or other BI and reporting tools
  • React or another modern front-end framework
  • ERP development experience (Infor SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial a plus)
  • EDI or other B2B partner integration experience
  • Exposure to distribution, manufacturing, inventory, or warehouse systems
  • Aviation or other regulated-industry experience
