QA w/ Web Services

Client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to be responsible for providing Quality Assurance Testing services for Commercial Banking projects; inclusive but not limited to activities supporting test readiness, execution, metric tracking, reporting and assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Assurance best practices and testing standards.

Job Responsibilities

*Responsible for building, maintaining and managing Quality Assurance Automation within the IT Solutions Delivery team. *Participate in scheduling and execution of test cases, inclusive of results analysis and metric reporting. *Analyze business requirements for completeness, testability and will carry out the Quality Assurance testing activities. *Ensure the applications and products and/or releases are in compliance with the Quality Assurance standards of the organization. *Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures. *Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. *Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability. *Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. *Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content. *Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. *Create or maintain databases of known test defects. *Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

*Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. *Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. *Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. *Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. *Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. *Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. *Knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc.

Education/Experience

*Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required. *5-7 years experience required.
