DESCRIPTION

Senior/Specialist Position - You will design and optimize scalable data pipelines and modern data architectures, leading global data integration across Sinch products (Sinch Pipeline). You will serve as a technical reference while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality ETL/ELT solutions and drive data-driven product evolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines across multiple platforms.
• Lead data integration initiatives across Sinch products worldwide.
• Develop and maintain high-quality ETL/ELT processes and modern data architectures.
• Optimize data workflows, databases, and pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Identify strategic opportunities to evolve products, architecture, and business processes through data.
• Serve as a technical reference, mentoring team members through code reviews and project leadership.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Solid programming skills and proficiency in Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and modern data architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Delta Lake.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Fluent English for communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including query optimization, partitioning/clustering, and cost management, as well as the ability to integrate it with modern data pipelines.
