The Right Candidate Will

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 to 6 years of experience as a Manual Tester, specifically testing web applications, Android apps, and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Postman, or similar.
  • Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior testers, providing guidance and support.

Responsibilties

  • Conduct manual testing of web applications, Android apps, and APIs to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand project requirements and gather testable features.
  • Perform functional testing, regression testing, system testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality and stability.
  • Verify defect fixes and track the resolution process to ensure proper closure of reported issues.
  • Document test results, defects, and test artifacts using standard tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot reported defects.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies to improve the testing process.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge sharing activities to contribute to process improvements and innovation.

  • Bachelors in Technology (B. Tech.)
