The University of Tulsa’s Department of Chemical Engineering seeks a motivated Laboratory Research Scientist (ECS‑MCL) to oversee day‑to‑day operation of advanced research equipment. The incumbent will train and onboard new users, develop training materials in partnership with the Faculty Liaison for Development (FLD), handle billing for instrument usage, and contribute as co‑PI or senior personnel on instrumentation and instrument‑development grants. This role offers a collaborative environment to advance cutting‑edge research while ensuring safe and efficient laboratory operations.
Experience - Need experience with materials science and materials characterization techniques including (but not limited to) TGA, XRD, SAXS, & DSC.
Skills - Ability to operate and maintain scientific instrumentation relevant to materials science and material characterization.
