Responsibilities

  • Design and build complex, end-to-end ETL pipelines
  • Develop scalable systems for moving data to data warehouses
  • Enforce strict data quality standards and security compliance
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and databases
  • Improve processing speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency
  • Ensure data products meet the vision and goals of data consumers
  • Maintain technical documentation for architecture and transformation logic

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with BigQuery or Redshift
  • Experience with Apache Airflow and dbt
  • Ability to work in Eastern or Central Time Zone
  • Fluent in English

Preferred

  • 15+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • Experience optimizing data pipelines
  • Prior experience in the Pharma industry
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau
