Design, develop, and maintain critical financial applications
Work independently on all tasks
Design, develop and maintain custom applications or configuration of corporate application systems and services
Analyze and design application systems encompassing the development, modification and translation of user requirements
Plan, investigate, and propose systems and application solutions
Prepare workflow for writing, testing and maintaining computer programs
Communicate effectively with product management, project management, and other stakeholders in preparation of application design specifications
Encode, test, debug and install the operating program and procedures in coordination with Operations and Infrastructure and Departments
Correct, test and document changes to existing programs
Conduct training and presentation to users and other stakeholders
Support existing applications
Act as a mentor to entry level and/or novice developers

Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
At least 5-7 years working experience as a software developer and/or designer
Programming Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, DB2, VSAM
Environment: IBM Mainframe using TSO / ISPF
Hands-on experience in object-oriented language/frameworks (Java, C# and or JEE, .NET)
Hands-on experience in RDBMS (Microsoft SQL or Oracle)
Hands-on experience in Web technologies including HTML/JavaScript
Experience with one of the following Integrated Development Environment (IDE) –RDz, Eclipse, or Ms Visual Studio

Knowledge or Experience with MQ Series, EXCI, XML, SCLM, IBM Debug, MicroFocus Revolve, Tivoli
Advanced degree – MBA or MS
Self-motivated and interested in working closely with the business in support of transaction processing and financial services businesses
Keen to explore software development and support in a high volume transaction processing environment or business systems
