About the role

You'll build and scale the AWS infrastructure behind Salmon's banking and lending platform, and help keep deployment and production systems fast and reliable.

What you'll do

• Craft, develop, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure supporting Salmon's products
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that keep application deployment fast and reliable
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship and support production systems end to end

What you'll own

• Own the design and management of AWS infrastructure across EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Lambda, and more
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitLab-CI, and FluxCD v2
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, and resolve issues quickly to protect production availability
• Drive automation of infrastructure and deployment processes using IaC tools including Terraform, AWS CDK, and Ansible
• Ensure infrastructure and deployments follow security policies and industry best practices
• Ensure the resilience and availability of production systems

What makes you a strong fit

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Software Engineering
• Deep, hands-on expertise with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Lambda, and more)
• Strong command of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes — EKS/ECS)
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or Golang, with hands-on CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitLab-CI, FluxCD v2)
• Solid grasp of networking principles and protocols, plus experience with Istio service mesh
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, AlertManager, and Grafana
