As a Core Infrastructure Engineer on the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, you’ll design, build, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud services that power our global authentication and authorization systems. You’ll contribute to the technical direction of key projects, write high-quality code, and collaborate closely with engineers across multiple teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices.
- Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Participate in software design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
- Analyze system performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Management, and partner engineering teams.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and documentation.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and development processes.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
- Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
- Experience operating production cloud services.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing).
- Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS).

Hiring Range in USD from
$79,200 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off
Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
