Experience & Education

  • Bachelorʼs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and scaling complex, enterprise-grade applications from scratch.

Core Backend & Architecture

  • Backend Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python ecosystems optimized for high-throughput, low-latency workloads (Familiarity with languages like Rust, Golang for performance critical components & services is a strong plus).
  • Distributed Systems: Deep expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful API design, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and building highly available, fault-tolerant, resilient systems.
  • Event-Driven Design: In-depth knowledge of asynchronous communication, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures.
  • Full-Stack Awareness: Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is preferred.

Data Engineering

  • Data Architecture: Strong command of distributed data architectures, data engineering constructs, and building scalable data pipelines, including expertise in both real-time streaming and batch processing paradigms (e.g., Lambda or Kappa architectures).
  • Datastores: Deep understanding of designing, scaling, and optimizing a variety of datastores across both SQL and NoSQL.
  • AI/ML Foundations: Working knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts to effectively integrate ML models and data workflows.

Cloud, Infra & DevOps

  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience designing for cloud environments (primarily AWS), leveraging cloud-native platform constructs, and driving cost-efficient architecture (FinOps).
  • Containerization: Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Observability & Reliability: Deep understanding of system observability, distributed tracing, telemetry, and establishing robust monitoring for large-scale production systems.
  • Engineering Excellence: Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices. Proven experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks to ensure system reliability.

Leadership & Execution

  • Process Champion: Standard-bearer for modern SDLC practices, understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.), and infrastructure management.
  • Autonomy & Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate architectural ambiguity, work highly independently, and elevate a team environment.
