Responsibilities
- Write high quality, testable code
- Utilize a "Test-First" approach to software development
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Create automated unit, system and acceptance tests
- Support and contribute to end of iteration demos
- Responsible for assigned integration, testing and deployment tasks
- Work with product management to scope and estimate product enhancements
- Design, implement, unit test software
- Fix software defects
- Foster continuous team improvement
- Contribute to team retrospectives
- Write and maintain documentation
- Participate in the change management process
- Build and maintain full-stack features using .NET backend services and Angular frontend components
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations
- Support cloud migration efforts
- Ask the right questions during grooming sessions
- Develop a strong understanding of the healthcare domain
- Mentor and coach junior engineers
- Adhere to all confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other such policies
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies
- Participate in an on-call rotation
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of software development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in C# and .NET
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
- Proficiency in Angular or comparable modern frontend framework
- Experience with MS SQL Server or similar relational database technologies
- Experience with or demonstrated interest in cloud platforms, particularly AWS
- Experience with Python or similar scripting languages is a plus
- Experience with Datadog or a comparable observability and monitoring platform
- Advanced design, debugging, and coding skills
- Builds secure applications and adheres to security standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
Preferred
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
