1. Background

The client seeks to engage a Salesforce Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of enterprise Salesforce solutions.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, architects, product owners, quality assurance resources, and other technical team members to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable capabilities.

The assignment will cover both new development and enhancements to existing Salesforce applications, with emphasis on platform standards, governance, security, data quality, and effective delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.

2. Objective

Provide specialized Salesforce development services to implement enhancements, integrations, automations, data management activities, production support, and platform optimization initiatives across Salesforce environments.

3. Scope of Services

Salesforce Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce when required, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, and Salesforce automation tools.
• Apply Salesforce out-of-the-box capabilities where appropriate and use custom development when required by business or technical needs.

Application Configuration and Enhancements

• Configure custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, formulas, approval processes, notifications, templates, reports, and dashboards.
• Improve user experience, process efficiency, and data accuracy through automation and low-code or no-code solutions.

System Integration

• Design, develop, document, and support integrations using REST or SOAP APIs and applicable middleware.
• Support reliable data exchange between Salesforce and enterprise platforms, including ERP, analytics, document management, and other business applications.
• Troubleshoot integration defects and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Data Migration and Quality

• Support data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, reconciliation, and validation.
• Migrate metadata and data between Salesforce environments while protecting integrity and minimizing operational disruption.

Quality Assurance, Deployment, and Support

• Develop test classes and unit tests and maintain appropriate code coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, quality checks, release planning, deployment readiness, and post-deployment validation.
• Investigate incidents, resolve defects, analyze root causes, and support production stability.

Agile Delivery and Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, UAT support, and release activities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders and architecture teams.
• Maintain technical, configuration, integration, deployment, and support documentation.

4. Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• At least five years of professional experience as a Salesforce Developer.
• Demonstrated experience delivering Salesforce solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting production Salesforce environments and working within Agile delivery teams.

Technical Competencies

• Strong proficiency in Salesforce Platform, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, and Salesforce Data Loader.
• Experience with REST or SOAP APIs, enterprise integrations, data migration, metadata deployment, version control, release management, and SDLC practices.
• Ability to create maintainable technical documentation and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

5. Certifications

Required

At least one of the following certifications is required:

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder

Desirable

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
• Salesforce Certified Data Architect
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect
• Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Architect
