Job Context

Riseup Labs is seeking a skilled Web Developer to maintain and evolve our consumer-facing web application, built with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and TailwindCSS. This role requires strong UI/UX skills, hands-on API integration experience, and the ability to support authentication, payments, and content delivery at scale

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend our Next.js web application built on React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS.
• Implement and optimize SSO authentication flows (Google, Apple, email/password) along with account, subscription, and profile management.
• Support payment flows and integrations with billing systems (e.g., Stripe, App Store/Play Store).
• Manage content streaming and integration with backend services.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly experiences.
• Integrate with internal and external APIs to power web app features.
• Build and manage A/B testing workflows for UX and feature validation.
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring stability and timely support for live systems.
• Contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines for multi-environment deployments and CI/CD automation.
• Rapidly prototype new features, validating concepts before scaling.

Educational Requirements

• B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.

Additional Requirements

• 5+ years of professional web development experience, with strong focus on React and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and TailwindCSS.
• Proven ability to implement authentication and SSO flows (Google, Apple, email/password).
• Solid experience with API integrations (REST/GraphQL).
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and ability to translate designs into polished experiences.
• Familiarity with payment systems and subscription management.
• Practical knowledge of A/B testing and multi-environment deployment workflows.
• Comfortable working with Azure DevOps pipelines for builds and deployments.
• Strong debugging skills and willingness to participate in on-call support.
• Ability to prototype quickly and deliver solutions iteratively.

Must Have

• Experience with content streaming platforms (video, games, or media).
• Knowledge of children’s platforms and compliance standards (COPPA, GDPR).
• Familiarity with Firebase (Remote Config, Authentication, Analytics).
• Exposure to server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js.

Salary Range

• Negotiable (Based on experience & skills)
