Key Responsibilities

Learning Application Development

• Build, customize, and support digital learning applications, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related learning platforms.
• Assist in the implementation, configuration, and deployment of learning technologies.
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with enterprise architecture and technology standards.

AI Integration & Development

• Develop and integrate AI-enabled capabilities within learning platforms, such as:
• Intelligent recommendation engines
• Chatbots and virtual learning assistants
• Adaptive and personalized learning solutions
• Leverage AI frameworks, APIs, and services to enhance learner engagement, analytics, and personalization.
• Implement AI-driven features to improve content discovery, learner support, and performance insights.

System Integration

• Integrate LMS and learning platforms with enterprise applications, including HR systems, authentication services, and analytics tools, using APIs and middleware technologies.
• Maintain compatibility with e-learning standards such as SCORM, xAPI, and LTI.

Testing & Optimization

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of both application and AI components.
• Monitor platform performance and recommend continuous improvements to system reliability and efficiency.

Collaboration

• Partner with instructional designers, project managers, and product teams to translate learning needs into effective technical solutions.
• Work alongside data engineers and AI specialists to deploy machine learning models and intelligent platform features.

Documentation & Support

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, integrations, and AI-related components.
• Provide technical support and issue resolution during implementation, deployment, and post-launch activities.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proficiency in software development using languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Java.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with LMS platforms or other digital learning technologies.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

AI & Data Competencies

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience integrating AI services and APIs, including NLP tools, chatbot technologies, and recommendation systems.
• Understanding of learning analytics, data processing workflows, and AI-based personalization methods.

Systems & Integration

• Experience integrating enterprise applications through APIs and middleware solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with e-learning standards including SCORM, xAPI, and LTI is an added advantage.

System Administration

• Understanding of system administration functions, including user access management, backup processes, and cloud security configurations.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail in system configurations, integrations, and implementation activities.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Certifications

• Professional certifications in AI, cloud technologies, or software engineering are advantageous, including certifications from AWS, Microsoft, or LMS-related platforms.

Experience

• Experience supporting cloud-based learning platforms and digital learning ecosystems.
• Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and Tin Can API for learning activity tracking and reporting.

Security Awareness

• Knowledge of data protection and security best practices, particularly when handling sensitive employee and learning data.
