Position Summary

The Desktop and Digital IT Lead is responsible for delivering reliable IT services and driving digital innovation across the Germany Technology Center. This role combines hands-on end-user desktop and infrastructure support with the leadership of digitalization, automation, data management, and AI initiatives that enhance business excellence and performance. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between IT, engineering and operations teams, ensuring robust technology operations while identifying and implementing innovative solutions that improve productivity, collaboration, knowledge management, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

IT Desktop and Infrastructure

  • Deliver day-to-day support for desktop, laptop, mobile, and workplace technologies across the Germany Technology Center.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, hardware deployment, software installation, and asset lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure reliable operation of IT infrastructure, including meeting rooms, collaboration platforms, printing services, and local infrastructure components.
  • Coordinate hardware inventory, equipment logistics, audits, warehouse activities, and refresh programs.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, and asset management procedures.
  • Serve as the primary local liaison between business users, engineering teams, and global IT support organizations

Digitalization, Data Management & AI

  • Partner with leadership teams to identify opportunities for operational excellence through digitalization, data analytics, and automation, and lead digital transformation initiatives that support improvement of engineering, project delivery, and business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT standards, cybersecurity policies, and technology governance requirements.
  • Drive adoption of AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and other approved digital solutions
  • Support the development and maintenance of digital tools and solutions, dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven business workflows and applications.
  • Manage engineering software applications, licensing, data repositories, and collaboration platforms
  • Provide training, coaching, and change management support for digital tools, engineering applications, and AI solutions
