Responsibilities
- Implement well-scoped technical solutions under guidance
- Implement user interface components that align with design standards
- Develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Assist with improving system performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Work with SQL and cloud-based storage solutions
- Write unit tests and contribute to integration testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Identify and document technical debt
- Learn and apply existing architectural patterns and standards
- Follow best practices for mobile, web, and backend systems
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs within a microservice architecture
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation
- Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices
- Communicate progress, questions, and blockers to team members
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners
- Use tools like Azure DevOps, Teams, and Lucid chart for collaboration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years without a degree
- Experience building or contributing to web-based applications
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Python)
- Exposure to modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, .NET Core)
- Basic understanding of cloud concepts and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Internship or co-op experiences in a professional software development environment
- Exposure to healthcare industry or regulated environments
- Use of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Claude, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts such as CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Awareness of data security and compliance fundamentals
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms or event-driven systems is a plus
