IBM API Connect Lead

Location

Lansing, MI. We are seeking a senior technical leader with 10+ years of integration/API development experience and 5+ years of hands-on IBM API Connect (APIC) experience.

The ideal candidate has strong Kubernetes knowledge and experience delivering APIs in containerized, cloud-native environments.

AWS and Red Hat OpenShift experience are highly desirable.

Must-haves

IBM API Connect (APIC), REST/SOAP services, API security (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS), JSON, XML, XSLT, Kubernetes, and proven experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.

Core responsibilities

Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API/integration solutions; guide technical teams; mentor junior developers; drive end-to-end API lifecycle delivery; and build scalable, secure, reusable services aligned with enterprise standards.

Strong pluses

IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, Red Hat OpenShift, CI/CD, AWS EKS, DevOps practices, enterprise integration patterns, and microservices architecture.
