Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented E&I Designer to support the Design & Engineering Department through the preparation and coordination of electrical and instrumentation design deliverables for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and instrumentation design drawings, layouts, schematics, and related engineering deliverables.
• Develop cable routing layouts, single line diagrams, termination drawings, hook-up drawings, and panel layouts.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure accurate design implementation.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability.
• Prepare design input documents, design change notes, and support design development activities.
• Review design documents prepared in-house or by subcontractors before approval and construction release.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications and material requirements.
• Support material take-offs (MTO) and procurement activities related to E&I systems.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of all design deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies on design-related matters.
• Ensure adherence to company quality and HSE standards in all design activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Lead Designer.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or related field.

Experience

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in E&I design within oil & gas, marine, fabrication, or EPC projects.

• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, drawings, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, E&I design software, and MS Office.
• Experience in cable schedules, loop drawings, panel layouts, and instrumentation design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC is an advantage.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
