Responsibilities

  • Connect and integrate data across core business platforms
  • Design and maintain data pipelines
  • Own the flow of data from source systems to business outputs
  • Build and maintain internal and customer-facing web tools
  • Create utilities, dashboards, or applications
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications and integrations
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Structure data for business intelligence and analysis
  • Help teams understand data availability and meaning
  • Use AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and analysis
  • Build systems for future AI capabilities
  • Stay current on new tools and best practices
  • Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices
  • Lead a small team of developers and analysts

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience working with relational data
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language
  • Experience with data modeling
  • Experience structuring data for business use
  • Experience integrating multiple business systems and data sources
  • Working knowledge of APIs
  • Working knowledge of data exchanges
  • Working knowledge of ETL / ELT concepts
  • Comfort troubleshooting data flow and system-to-system issues
  • Experience building or maintaining internal or customer-facing web applications
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Working knowledge of CSS
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Ability to design simple, maintainable solutions
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience working directly with non-technical users and stakeholders
  • Clear communication
  • Pragmatic, problem-solving mindset
  • Curiosity and desire to continually learn new tools and approaches
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and evolving role definitions

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with BI or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience with version control (Git)
  • Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or order-driven environments
  • Prior experience mentoring others or taking informal technical leadership
