Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior Front End Developer to join a dynamic, agile team. Your role will be pivotal in designing, developing, and enhancing high-traffic, user-focused web applications. You will collaborate with developers, designers, and analysts to contribute to impactful digital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve user experiences.
- Apply best practices in web development, including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and responsive design.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimise complex codebases.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and tools, integrating them into your work.
Required Skills and Experience
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Sass.
- Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Strong knowledge of UX, usability, and user-centred design.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Familiarity with Linux or MacOS environments.
- Ability to work in an agile environment, delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with client-side build tools (Grunt, Gulp).
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine).
- Familiarity with Node.js, Java, and Mustache templates.
