Lead the design and development of complex software systems

A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Substantial professional experience in software development
Solid record of designing, building and evolving complex software systems over a period of years
Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
Expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Rust, C++
Expertise in backend development for data-intensive applications
Experience working with databases such as Postgres or MySQL
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Great attention to detail
Proven leadership skills
Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban
Knowledge of backend technologies such as a JVM language like Kotlin, Node.js, GraphQL
Proficiency extends to databases, distributed computing, and cloud platforms
Deep expertise in at least one of these technologies (databases, distributed computing, cloud platforms)
Holistic view, working seamlessly across boundaries for the benefit of the product and its users
