Responsibilities

Build and evolve backend systems for ClassPass
Partner with Product, Design, and QA to deliver features
Design and develop backend services and APIs
Promote engineering excellence through testing and code reviews
Contribute to architecture decisions for microservices
Strengthen operational health and observability
Mentor teammates and foster a collaborative culture

Requirements

8+ years of backend systems experience for large-scale SaaS
Proficiency in object-oriented languages like Java, Kotlin, C#
Experience architecting and designing microservices
Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic or Kibana
Solid understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and Agile
Strong SQL and relational database skills
Clear communicator who collaborates effectively
