Your role and responsibilities

In this role, we are looking for experienced software professionals to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. The role requires leading or being part of a team with extensive expertise in full-stack application development (Angular, .NET Core, C#), cloud technologies, and data science. You will be responsible for establishing software quality standards, leading DevOps initiatives, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions while mentoring and developing team members.

You will be mainly accountable for

  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best industry practices, DevOps pipelines, and continuous build environments to accelerate software development and deployment.
  • Identify and prioritize key stakeholders (external & internal), aligning their expectations with project deliverables, milestones, and status reporting in collaboration with ABB project managers.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and architects to plan, design, develop, and test enterprise applications while leading documentation of requirements, user stories, estimates, and work plans.
  • Drive team growth by identifying improvement opportunities, introducing innovation in processes and solutions, conducting peer-reviews, mentoring team members, and providing regular performance feedback.

Qualifications for the role

  • Strong expertise in full-stack application development using Angular, .NET Core, C#, WebAPI, and Entity Framework Core, with solid experience in Azure deployment (Service Fabric & Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline setup, deployment automation, and establishing continuous build environments across platforms.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Data Science, Analytics, AI & ML, ETL/ELT development, database design, and advanced SQL, with a strong grasp of security principles.
  • Proficiency in project implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative) with demonstrated ability to manage deliverables, resolve complex technical issues, and guide teams through problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with proven ability to delegate tasks effectively, mentor team members, develop talent, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts, coordinate across teams, and align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Bachelor's (BE/BTech) or Master's (ME/MTech) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with familiarity in Azure DevOps, modern development tools, and industry domain knowledge.
