Role purpose

Build accessible and engaging digital learning resources using Articulate Rise, Storyline, H5P and related tools, supported by appropriate image sourcing, preparation and manipulation.

Key responsibilities

• Build digital courses from approved learning-design storyboards.
• Develop content using Rise, Storyline and H5P.
• Configure interactions, scenarios, feedback, branching, states, triggers and variables at the level required by the project.
• Source suitable licensed images and maintain accurate source and licence records.
• Crop, edit, optimise and manipulate images for digital delivery.
• Integrate graphics, animation, video, audio and voice-over.
• Apply templates, brand guidelines and development standards.
• Implement accessibility requirements within the selected authoring tools.
• Configure, package and test SCORM content.
• Conduct technical self-checks and rectify identified issues.
• Maintain clean, organised and transferable source files.
• Collaborate with Learning Designers, graphic designers, multimedia specialists and quality reviewers.

Essential requirements

• Demonstrated experience developing complete digital learning resources.
• Strong capability in Articulate Rise.
• Working or advanced capability in Articulate Storyline.
• Experience developing activities in H5P.
• Competence in image sourcing, licence checking, cropping, manipulation and optimisation.
• Understanding of interaction design and learner feedback.
• Ability to work accurately from an approved storyboard.
• Understanding of responsive design and digital accessibility.
• Experience publishing and testing SCORM packages.
• Strong troubleshooting and quality self-review capability.
• Reliable file naming, version control and source-file management.

Desirable requirements

• Advanced Storyline variables, triggers, states and branching.
• Experience with simulations or virtual workplace experiences.
• Understanding of LMS behaviour and SCORM completion and tracking settings.
• Basic HTML or CSS knowledge.
• Experience with audio and video editing.
• Experience in adult learning, VET or workplace training.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 Level AA.
• Experience using approved AI tools to support production while retaining human review.
