Overview

Data plays an increasingly critical role in how we operate, manage risk, support trading decisions, optimize financial performance, and drive business growth. As we continue to modernize our analytics and data capabilities, we're looking for a collaborative and hands-on data leader who can help transform complex business data into trusted, actionable insights.

In this role, you'll work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, helping shape scalable analytics solutions that enable smarter decision-making across the organization. You'll partner with stakeholders across Trading, Finance, Operations, and Technology while contributing to the evolution of our modern data platform, analytics architecture, and data product strategy.

Responsibilities

Analytics Strategy & Delivery

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise analytics solutions that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical requirements and data-driven solutions.
• Contribute to the development and prioritization of analytics initiatives and roadmaps aligned to organizational objectives.
• Drive adoption of reporting capabilities, data products, and self-service analytics platforms that improve access to business insights.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to improve business performance and decision-making.

Data Architecture & Solution Design

• Design scalable enterprise data solutions that support reporting, analytics, advanced analytics, and future AI-driven initiatives.
• Partner with architects and engineering teams to contribute to enterprise and solution-level data architecture strategies across multiple business domains.
• Define and promote architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and analytics best practices.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, governance requirements, security standards, and long-term scalability objectives.
• Support modernization efforts that improve the organization's data and analytics capabilities.

Data Modeling & Data Products

• Lead the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support analytical and operational reporting requirements.
• Partner with business teams to define subject areas, business domains, and data structures that reflect key business processes.
• Design and enhance data products that provide reliable, governed, and reusable datasets for analytics consumers.
• Establish scalable and business-aligned approaches to data modeling that improve consistency, usability, and trust in enterprise data assets.

Lakehouse & Modern Data Platforms

• Support the implementation and evolution of modern Lakehouse architectures leveraging cloud-native technologies and Databricks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define strategies for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Ensure analytics solutions are scalable, performant, secure, and aligned with evolving business requirements.
• Contribute to the advancement of modern data platform capabilities that enable greater agility, reliability, and business value.

Trading, Market & Enterprise Data Integration

• Analyze and integrate data across trading platforms, operational systems, ERP environments, and enterprise applications.
• Support analytics and architecture initiatives involving energy trading, commodities, market, risk, finance, and operational data domains.
• Develop source-to-target mappings, data lineage documentation, and end-to-end data flow designs for enterprise initiatives.
• Partner with business and technology teams to improve visibility and access to critical enterprise information.

Data Governance & Quality

• Establish and support processes related to data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
• Partner with business stakeholders and data stewards to improve data integrity, consistency, and trust across enterprise systems.
• Drive implementation of monitoring frameworks and data quality standards that support reliable decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance policies, regulatory requirements, and data management best practices.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead data and analytics initiatives while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor analysts and support the development of a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, solution design sessions, architecture reviews, and roadmap discussions.
• Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, business process documentation, and solution artifacts.
• Present insights, solution recommendations, and project updates to business and technology leadership teams.
• Build strong relationships across functions and serve as a trusted partner in delivering business and technology outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data architecture, data management, or related technology roles.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise analytics solutions and data products.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including conceptual, logical, and physical data design.
• Experience working with cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytics and data solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Commodity Trading, Financial Services, or other highly data-intensive industries.
• Experience working with Databricks, Lakehouse architectures, and modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Data Products, Data Mesh, modern analytics operating models, or enterprise data transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with trading systems, market operations, financial reporting, and risk-related business processes.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data quality programs.
• Experience working within Agile product and delivery environments.
• Demonstrated success partnering across business and technical teams to deliver impactful data and analytics solutions.

Level: Manager

Compensation

Depending on experience - Range of 130,000 - 160,000 USD
