Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and develop system architectures, including hardware, software, networks, and integration components, to meet project objectives.
- Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements or enhancements to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Conduct system integration and testing to ensure compatibility, interoperability, and compliance with standards and requirements.
- Implement and configure systems components, including servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of five years in IT infrastructure design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture principles, including distributed computing, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in system administration, including Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, for automating system deployment and management tasks.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing systems and data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
