Responsibilities

  • Migrate PostgreSQL workloads from AWS to modern lakehouse platforms
  • Perform data masking and governance
  • Transform data in Databricks
  • Ingest data from AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda) into Databricks

Requirements

  • 8+ years of data engineering experience with AWS + Databricks
  • Experience migrating PostgreSQL workloads to lakehouse platforms
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience with healthcare data and regulatory formats (X12 837, HL7, EBCDIC)
  • Expertise in data masking and governance frameworks
  • Experience working in HIPAA-regulated environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes in a cloud ecosystem (though Agile/CI/CD are preferred, familiarity is a requirement here based on context of cloud ecosystem practices for data pipelines.)

Preferred

  • Familiarity with FHIR, X12 837, HL7, or other clinical data standards
  • Experience with Unity Catalog and Lakehouse governance frameworks
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines
  • Prior experience working with payers, providers, or healthcare clearinghouses
