CISO Mentor (part-time basis)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced security leader (current or former CISO/Head of Security) to provide ongoing mentorship to our company's acting CISO. The focus is not operational involvement in day-to-day team tasks, but strategic support for the leader: sounding board for difficult decisions, second opinion during crisis situations, and guidance on building processes and business communication.

Responsibilities

• Regular 1:1 sessions (frequency TBD, e.g. bi-weekly) to work through the CISO's current challenges
• Post-incident reviews for major incidents - helping improve response processes, escalation paths, and communication with leadership
• Advisory on strategic decisions: risk prioritization, defense architecture (WAF/DDoS/anti-fraud), vendor selection and negotiation
• Support in building communication with C-level/board - how to convey risk and business impact in business terms
• Support in growing and scaling a small security team (structure, roles, hiring)
• On request - participation in reviewing specific cases (e.g., attack response, effectiveness of mitigation measures, prioritization of action items)

Who We're Looking For

• 15+ years in information security, including 8+ years in a CISO/Head of Security role (ideally at a company of comparable scale - a consumer product company with high-traffic load; experience with fraud/bot mitigation is a strong plus)
• Hands-on experience responding to major incidents (DDoS, breaches, fraud attacks)
• Experience building a security function from scratch or under budget/headcount constraint
• Fluent Russian
