Senior Backend Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop microservices architecture for high-throughput, low-latency data processing
• Build event-driven systems using Kafka, Kafka Streams, or similar messaging platforms
• Integrate with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and optimize query performance
• Collaborate with Frontend, Data, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Write clean, testable code with unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

• Proven and practical hands-on backend development experience
• Proficiency and proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem
• Experience building microservices and REST APIs at scale
• Working knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching (Redis)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of design patterns, OOP, and clean code principles
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and agile practices
