Java Full Stack Developer (Securities Lending & Financing Platform)

About the Role

We are building our strategic infrastructure within Liquid Financing and looking for a talented AVP-level Java Full Stack Developer to join our high-impact APAC team.

You will work closely with traders, product managers, and quantitative teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions for the Equities and FICC businesses across the region.

You will be part of a global team with counterparts in New York, London, and India, offering significant exposure to cross-border projects and senior stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Build Strategic Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain the next-generation platform for APAC Liquid Financing and Securities Lending (SBL).
• Full Stack Development (40% Frontend / 60% Backend):
• Frontend: Build responsive, data-rich dashboards and trading interfaces using Angular (React experience is also acceptable).
• Backend: Develop robust, scalable microservices and APIs using Java Spring Boot.
• Automation & CI/CD: Drive continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable delivery.
• Collaborate with the Business: Work directly with traders and product stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and manage expectations.
• Global Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly with engineering leads and teams across NYK, LDN, and India to ensure platform consistency and best practices.

Tech Stack

• Frontend (40%): Angular (or strong React experience with willingness to learn Angular)
• Backend (60%): Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs
• Scripting: Python (for automation and tooling)
• DevOps: CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab), Docker, Kubernetes
• Databases: SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL)

Who You Are

• Experienced: 5–10 years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in Java and modern web technologies.
• Financially Savvy: You possess deep domain knowledge of Equities and FICC products. Experience in Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending (SBL), or Financing is a strong advantage.
• Full Stack Capable: You are comfortable working across the entire stack—from building polished UIs in Angular to writing optimized backend services in Java and Spring Boot.
• Communicator: You are an excellent communicator in English, comfortable presenting to and interacting with traders, product managers, and senior business stakeholders.
• Proactive: You take ownership of end-to-end delivery and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Bonus Skills

• Knowledge of Securities Lending (SBL) workflows and financing products.
• Experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
