Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality products within scope and on time
  • Perform hands-on development using established programming languages
  • Test, analyze, and debug solutions across different environments
  • Provide production support to ensure applications run smoothly
  • Create Proof-of-Concepts to assess feasibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-stack development experience
  • Ruby on Rails experience required
  • Experience in developing rich client functionality
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and cross-browser layout skills
  • Knowledge of the full web technology stack
  • Experience with mobile site/application development
  • Experience with responsive web development
  • 1 year of eCommerce experience preferred
  • Familiarity with advanced SQL queries preferred
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional time management, organization and planning skills
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize key initiatives and hit deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees
  • Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Bias for action and anticipatory qualities
  • Curious, driven to achieve and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • A desire to continually learn and grow in your career
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet development schedules

Preferred

  • Other languages beneficial
  • AngularJS, React or lightweight front-end framework experience is a plus
  • Experience in usability/interface design
  • UI/UX knowledge for mobile and tablet is a plus
