Design and build scalable systems and robust infrastructure for payments risk
Build and maintain a service-oriented technology stack with well-defined APIs
Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to respond to fraud attacks
Build and maintain integrations with third-party vendors and payment networks
Develop and iterate on risk detection, mitigation, and resolution strategies
Focus on continuous monitoring and alerting for risk systems
Collaborate with other engineering teams to advance engineering processes

3+ years of relevant industry experience in Payments/Fintech as a backend software engineer
Proficient in at least one major programming language, preferably Java/Kotlin/Python
Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications
Passion for delivering products end-to-end with experimental A/B testing
Rigor in high code quality and automated testing
Experience working in cross-functional teams with product, data scientists, design, and operations
Familiarity with experimentation and machine learning techniques
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
