WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a member of the Category Management team, the Category Associate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Design to support voice-of-customer initiatives, product concept testing, trend research, and market analysis. The successful candidate will assist in transforming complex data into actionable insights that help drive innovation, identify unmet customer needs, and inform the development of forward-looking product solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and execution of market research and voice-of-customer (VOC) programs to gather actionable product insights.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from internal and external sources to support product strategy and innovation efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
  • Help develop and maintain research tools, dashboards, and insight reports for use by cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and Innovation leads to support early-stage product exploration and concept validation.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and contribute to product planning discussions.
  • Assist in the coordination of customer interviews, surveys, field research, and usability testing.
  • Maintain research documentation, organize key findings, and ensure insights are effectively communicated across teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Post-secondary coursework or certification in Consumer Insights, Analytics, or Product Management is an asset.
  • 1–3 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, product marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau, or similar platforms) and survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and interpret complex data sets.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to draw clear conclusions and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Curious and proactive mindset, eager to learn and contribute to innovation efforts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Hiring Range

$59,000.00 - $92,620.00 CAD

The salary range shown reflects the expected annual base salary for this open position, plus other wage amounts such as annual bonus, profit sharing, and commissions.

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
