Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java/JEE technologies
Develop responsive web applications using JavaScript, JSP, JSTL, Bootstrap, jQuery, HTML5, JSON, and Spring Framework
Build and consume RESTful and SOAP web services
Develop and optimize SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, views, and scripts
Utilize Git repositories and GitHub Actions for source control, collaboration, and deployment automation
Apply object-oriented design principles and industry-standard design patterns
Develop applications using AJAX and modern JavaScript libraries
Ensure applications comply with Section 508 accessibility standards
Create and maintain technical documentation, system requirements, and software specifications
Design reports and data visualizations using BIRT, Apache Velocity Templates, and Power BI
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet CDC and HHS standards
Participate in code reviews, estimation, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or a HS Diploma and 9 years of experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
At least 5 years of experience designing and developing Java/JEE web applications
Experience with Spring Framework, JavaScript, HTML5, JSP, JSTL, Bootstrap, and jQuery
Experience developing RESTful and SOAP web services
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, JDBC, relational databases, and database design
Experience using Git for version control
Familiarity with XML and enterprise application integration
Experience using MyEclipse IDE
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance
