Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex user-facing applications
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible interfaces
  • Lead development of reusable UI components
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated UI testing
  • Ensure frontend implementations meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
  • Estimate development work and participate in technical planning
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues
  • Participate in on-call rotations and improve application monitoring
  • Mentor Software Engineers I and II through code reviews and pairing
  • Drive improvements to engineering processes and coding standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Participate in SAFe ceremonies
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating in technical interviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Advanced experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience implementing complex user interfaces from Figma
  • Experience building reusable component libraries and enterprise Design Systems
  • Strong experience with automated UI testing using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues
  • Experience mentoring engineers and conducting technical code reviews

Preferred

  • Experience with Python-based backend services
  • Experience contributing to frontend architecture and technical design decisions
  • Experience optimizing application performance, accessibility, and maintainability
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications within AWS environments
  • Experience working on large-scale federal or government technology programs
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile development practices
