We are hiring Software Engineer I [Embedded / Radar] to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.

What you will do
- Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with guidance as needed.
- Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
- Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
- Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
- Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external
- Join program and customer meetings/reviews
- Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
- Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
- Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
- Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.
- Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus
Qualifications you must have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools.
- Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
- Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Introductory Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
- Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance
- Experience developing Radar Software applications
- Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
- Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
- Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
