[What the role is]
[LTA-TRO] SENIOR/ EXECUTIVE/ SOFTWARE ENGINEER, TRAFFIC & ROAD IT
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a team leading the development of cloud-based software solutions, with a focus on AI-driven applications and agile delivery. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, requiring expertise in modern cloud technologies, AI integration, and the ability to guide agile development teams effectively.
In this role, you will design and develop scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications while championing best practices in software development and DevOps. You will implement coding and cybersecurity standards and work closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements and architecture strategies.
Your responsibilities will also span the full project lifecycle — from technical feasibility studies and project planning to design reviews, installation, testing, commissioning, and the documentation of system operation and maintenance manuals.
Beyond delivery, you will lead collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to establish system requirements and performance specifications and manage user queries related to systems under your charge as part of ongoing project and maintenance work.
[What we are looking for]
- Knowledge in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 years of experience in software development, AI/ML solutions, or process design thinking.
- Proficiency in full-stack development experience spanning frontend, backend, and databases, with strong software engineering fundamentals in object-oriented programming, REST APIs, SQL/database design, debugging, and application architecture, Agile and DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and microservices architecture is mandatory.
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and low-code platforms such as OutSystems will be advantageous. Familiarity with Government ICT policies and IM8 compliance standards is likewise desirable, as is a development background in .NET (C#/.NET Core/ASP.NET), Java, or other enterprise application frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, Agile teams.
- A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with a strong sense of ownership and analytical thinking.
As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
