Lead design, development, and implementation of proprietary software applications and technological roadmap
Act as technology SME for internal constituents, customers, and prospective clients
Develop and mentor direct reports to raise engagement within Software Engineering
Build prototypes, spikes, and AI-assisted proofs of concept to de-risk technical decisions
Collaborate with Product, Operations, Client Success, Data, and Compliance to align priorities
Manage development budget and drive cross-functional outcomes
Lead geographically dispersed teams including offshore contractors
Drive excellence in development and delivery within a scaled agile scrum organization

10+ years overall IT experience in applications design and development
5+ years experience in IT management or leadership
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or significant equivalent experience
Hands-on familiarity with AWS core services, deployment models, and security
Experience introducing AI into engineering workflows including LLM-backed features
Prior healthcare industry experience
Experience building healthcare interoperability using HL7, EDI, and FHIR
Extensive experience leading agile scrum teams and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Expertise in managing 3rd party partners and vendors
Proficiency with JIRA for work item pipeline management
Experience with Java, Linux, JavaScript, TypeScript, Liferay, and SQL Server

Experience driving an agile and SAFe transformation
Successful experience at an early-stage, private equity-backed company
Hands-on experience with AWS and building AI capabilities in a regulated environment
