Full Stack Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Develop, test, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Event-Driven Architecture: Design, integrate, and manage asynchronous messaging and event-driven systems using Message Queue (MQ) platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data models using both relational (Oracle DB) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Frontend Support: Contribute to and maintain responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Angular as project needs dictate.
• Infrastructure & Deployment: Develop, containerize, and deploy applications in Dockerized environments.
• Quality Assurance: Write rigorous unit and integration tests following Test Driven Development (TDD) principles to ensure system reliability.
• Collaboration: Work seamlessly with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Agile Participation: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Solve problems with a proactive mindset, communicate effectively across departments, and willingly challenge the status quo to improve our tech stack.

Must-Have Skills

• Backend Engineering: Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Message Queuing (MQ): Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
• APIs & Integration: Deep understanding of RESTful services, GraphQL, and Node.js.
• Databases: Experience with both Relational (Oracle DB) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database systems.
• Frontend (Secondary): Working knowledge of frontend development using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Angular.
• Infrastructure: Experience with Docker.
• Development Practices: Proven experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaborative team player, excellent problem-solving skills, and a mindset to push boundaries and innovate.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Monitoring & DevOps Tools: Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenShift, Azure, or GitLab CI/CD Pipelines.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in Retail, eCommerce, or product data management.
• Innovation & Research: Exposure to or interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrations.
