Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy RPA workflows using UiPath
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into automation pipelines
- Develop reusable automation components, frameworks, and libraries
- Apply software engineering best practices — version control, code review, unit testing, CI/CD
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into structured technical specifications
- Perform process discovery and current-state analysis
- Proactively identify edge cases, failure modes, and process risks
- Serve as a bridge between business process owners and the engineering team
- Communicate project status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies
- Collaborate closely with architects, senior developers, QA, and operations teams
- Contribute to documentation including process design documents, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
- Stay current with emerging AI tooling, LLM integrations, and automation platform capabilities
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing automations with AI-driven capabilities
- Participate in post-implementation reviews
- Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to translate cutting-edge AI advancements into production-ready capabilities
- Uphold ethical AI principles by embedding fairness, transparency, and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in one or more languages (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or equivalent)
- 3+ years of experience in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- 3+ years of experience working with APIs, data pipelines, or system integrations
- Advanced level of proficiency with analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Advanced level of proficiency of written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate level of proficiency working collaboratively in cross-functional, Agile teams
- Intermediate level of proficiency learning new technologies quickly and applying them in a production environment
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with RPA platforms — UiPath strongly preferred; Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism also considered
- UiPath Developer certification (Associate or Advanced) or demonstrated coursework/project experience
- Exposure to AI/ML workflows, LLM integrations, or intelligent document processing (IDP)
- Experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, or regulated enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services, including Azure AI, Azure Functions, or Azure Data Factory
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL platforms
- Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
- Agile development experience and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
