Responsibilities

Design and build systems for ML efficiency
Develop tooling for ML debugging and optimization
Improve GPU and resource utilization
Partner with ML researchers to identify bottlenecks
Build benchmarking frameworks and performance dashboards
Optimize distributed training and serving infrastructure
Lead initiatives to improve ML engineer productivity
Drive technical strategy for ML platform scalability

Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Python
Experience building distributed systems at scale
Experience with machine learning infrastructure
Deep understanding of performance engineering
Strong debugging and profiling skills

Preferred

Experience with large-scale recommendation systems
Experience with generative AI or foundation models
Experience with distributed training frameworks (PyTorch Distributed, Ray, Tensorflow, Spark)
Familiarity with GPU architectures and performance tools
Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure costs
Contributions to internal ML platforms
Experience building real time ML inference applications
Proficiency in at least one systems language (Go, C++, Rust, or Java)
