Field Service Technician (Heavy Equipment / Construction / Infrastructure) - South America

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team and support the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment across a variety of industries, including construction and infrastructure.

In this role, you will work on premium heavy equipment brands and play a key part in ensuring maximum machine uptime and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, generators, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Carry out on-site repairs and emergency breakdown response
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Coordinate with parts teams to ensure timely repairs
• Follow strict health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Technical diploma or certification in Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanics (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
• Hands-on experience with premium equipment brands (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in field conditions
• Problem-solving mindset and strong technical skills
• Customer-oriented attitude and good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
