The Division

Jonas Construction Software is an industry-leading business management and accounting solution, with over 1,300 large contractors across North America having chosen it to improve the efficiency and profitability of their operations. The Position

The division requires one QA Automation Developer, who possesses excellent communication skills and strong technical testing experience. The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based QA department.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in test automation across multiple platforms and applications.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript for developing and maintaining test automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience with modern UI test automation tools and frameworks, including Playwright, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Solid experience in API test automation using tools such as RestSharp, Postman, or similar, with understanding of API testing methodologies and contract validation.
• Hands-on experience across multiple automation layers including Unit, API, and UI testing with ability to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Working knowledge of SQL for database validations, data integrity checks, and backend testing support.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex testing issues.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented test automation code and technical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with distributed global teams.
• Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Experience with desktop application test automation using tools and frameworks such as FlaUI, WinAppDriver, Appium, Microsoft UI Automation, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and testing tools, including AI-driven test generation, test analysis, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with application performance testing and load testing tools, including JMeter, or similar technologies, to identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with .NET technologies and C# for backend development, which would provide valuable insight into the systems being tested.
