We're looking for a Sr. Database Administrator to manage and optimize cloud-based database environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security across platforms. If you're experienced with Azure SQL and GCP Big Query and enjoy working in dynamic, cross-functional teams this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage databases (Azure SQL, GCP Big Query, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) across development to production environments.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes to ensure system health and high availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time database issues independently.
• Perform performance tuning, indexing, and optimization of queries and systems.
• Support data migration, schema design, and DDL/DML operations.
• Provide guidance on SQL tuning, database configuration, and connectivity.
• Automate recurring tasks and maintain documentation for process improvements.
• Work closely with development and application teams to ensure efficient database performance throughout the app lifecycle.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL and GCP Big Query.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL and MongoDB is a plus but not required.
• Experience managing Azure resources via Azure Portal, CLI, etc.
• Solid understanding of access management and database security.
• Proficient in performance tuning and troubleshooting using native tools.
• Familiar with ITIL service support and Agile-Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams.
• Results-driven, adaptable, and proactive.
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup and open to shifting schedules and on-call duties.
