Responsibilities

  • Maintain and modernize data integration workflows across legacy and cloud platforms
  • Support existing ETL in on-premise data platforms
  • Transition data pipelines to modern cloud-based patterns
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
  • Develop robust ETL/ELT processes to ingest, cleanse, transform, and load data
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and indexing for performance and cost-effectiveness
  • Integrate data solutions with AI/ML platforms and analytics tools
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve data pipeline and infrastructure issues
  • Implement data quality, monitoring, and validation frameworks
  • Document data flows, schemas, and engineering processes
  • Translate business and analytics requirements into scalable data engineering solutions
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance in all data engineering activities

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant data engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Experience using PL/SQL, SAP Data Services, Python, SQL, Airflow, and Glue
  • Experience supporting ETL systems in enterprise or regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture principles
  • Proficiency in relational and non-relational database systems
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Redshift, Glue, S3, and EMR
  • Familiarity with Azure services including Data Lake, Synapse, and Data Factory
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data mart design
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
  • US Citizenship

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of Palantir Foundry including ontology, data lineage, and pipeline development
  • Experience in regulated industries such as aviation, healthcare, government, or finance
  • Familiarity with data catalog and metadata management tools
