Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand healthcare and RCM data stored in BigQuery source tables
  • Perform data profiling, data quality assessments, and completeness checks
  • Identify relationships, dependencies, and business rules within source systems
  • Document source-to-target data transformations, calculations, and derivation logic
  • Map source system data elements to the IBM Unified Data Model for Healthcare (UDMH)
  • Develop and maintain detailed source-to-target mapping documents
  • Ensure adherence to UDMH standards and modeling guidelines
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and mapping challenges, and propose remediation approaches
  • Validate mappings with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Assist in designing and developing enterprise semantic models for reporting and analytics
  • Define business-friendly metrics, dimensions, hierarchies, and KPIs within the semantic layer
  • Translate complex healthcare and RCM data structures into consumable datasets
  • Ensure consistency of calculations and metric definitions
  • Support semantic layer testing, validation, and optimization
  • Facilitate discussions with RCM business teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements
  • Gather and document business definitions, data requirements, and KPI specifications
  • Support data governance and metadata management initiatives
  • Provide functional guidance during data validation and user acceptance testing
  • Perform reconciliation between source systems, UDMH structures, and reporting layers
  • Validate transformed data and business rules to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Support defect analysis and resolution during development and testing cycles

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, or Healthcare Data Management
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes including Patient Access, Scheduling, Registration, Claims, Billing, Payments, Denials, and Collections
  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and SQL
  • Experience performing source-to-target mapping and data profiling activities
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and semantic data models
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder communication and requirements gathering experience

Preferred

  • Experience with IBM Unified Data Model for Healthcare (UDMH)
  • Experience in healthcare provider data and analytics environments
  • Familiarity with semantic layer technologies such as Power BI Semantic Models, Looker, Tableau, Cognos, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and healthcare business domains
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics architectures
