Responsibilities

  • Maintain advanced level knowledge of clinical application and database tools
  • Adapt and extend existing and new interface systems
  • Guide medical investigators with training and access to data services
  • Consult with researchers to define, design, and execute data sets
  • Analyze, code, and test database and software components

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 4+ years of experience with end user support in an IT domain
  • 3+ year(s) of research IT experience, preferably in the clinical domain
  • Advanced database programming experience, including complex query optimization and performance tuning
  • Advanced experience with formal software engineering practices
  • Advanced object-oriented programming skills using an integrated development environment like Visual Studio .NET
  • Advanced experience with requirements gathering and analysis
  • Advanced understanding of database design
  • Advanced problem solving and debugging skills
