Responsibilities

  • Translate complex AI processes into intuitive, responsive front-end interfaces
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, accessible front-end UI component libraries
  • Prototype novel interaction patterns for conversational AI and agent execution
  • Optimize UI performance for real-time AI responses and token streaming
  • Connect front-end interfaces to RAG endpoints, ESRE, and agent orchestration APIs
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and AI backend engineers
  • Ensure front-end interfaces adhere to WCAG and align with Elastic's design system
  • Implement front-end tracking for user satisfaction and prompt effectiveness
  • Maintain documentation for UI components, architecture, and design patterns

Requirements

  • Recent experience creating UIs for GenAI applications
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS/Sass
  • Experience with WebSockets and Server-Sent Events for streaming LLM responses
  • Background in UX design, wireframing, design systems, rapid prototyping
  • Desire to learn Elasticsearch Relevance Engine (ESRE) and Elastic UI (EUI)
  • Experience integrating front-end with AI/LLM backend services
  • Experience with enterprise design systems and component documentation tools
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, WCAG
  • Hands-on experience with design tools like Figma

Preferred

  • Experience with LangGraph, REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Experience extending design systems and using Storybook
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization and WCAG
  • Hands-on experience with Figma
