We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Neo4j and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to lead our critical graph database migration journey. In this role, you will not just design the architecture, you will be the hands-on guide who ensures our business workloads are successfully migrated, rigorously tested, and seamlessly adopted. You will act as the bridge between technical engineering and business stakeholders, leading live demos, onboarding engineering teams, and guiding users through successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Key Responsibilities
- Migration & Architecture: Design and execute secure migration strategies to move on-premise or relational data workloads to Neo4j on AWS (AuraDB, EC2, or EKS).
- Testing & Optimization: Lead performance tuning, index optimization, and load testing of Cypher queries to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Demos & Proof of Concepts (POC): Build and showcase powerful graph database demos to stakeholders to highlight business value and insights.
- Onboarding & Handholding: Provide close, side-by-side technical support to developers, data analysts, and product teams during the initial launch phase.
- UAT & Go-Live: Define UAT criteria, write test scripts, validate data integrity, and hand-hold business users through final validation for a smooth production rollout.
Required Technical Skills
- Neo4j Expertise: Deep knowledge of graph modeling, Cypher query language, APOC libraries, and Neo4j administration tools.
- AWS Cloud Mastery: Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3) and secure networking for database deployments.
- Data Integration: Proven experience using data pipeline and ETL tools (like Spark, AWS DMS, or Data Sync) to ingest data into graph databases.
- Testing Tools: Familiarity with database benchmarking and load-testing tools to simulate production workloads.
- 8+ years of experience working with data engineering with at least 4+ years of experience working on graph databases.
- Proficiency in query languages like Cypher or Gremlin and a solid foundation in graph theory are crucial for success in this position.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in working in dual shore engagement is preferred.
